This time is turn of Hiroko Kasahara (笠原 弘子), a popular seiyū and J-pop singer.

Born in February 19, 1970 in Tokyo, Japan, start her career at the age of five participating in educational TV shows of NHK. Her debut as seiyū was in 1983 given her voice to Kachua Pearson in the anime Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam. In 1988 released her first single “Believe Yourself Again” (Patlabor Image Song), in the same year released her first album “Slow Glass no Kagayaki” (スローガラスの輝き).

As most already know, the Gravure Idols not only are dedicated to bikini modeling, a few also are singers, actresses or seiyus, in this post series “Singing with the Idol“, we will focus on the idols who also have a career as singers and idols that are specifically singers like Utada Hikaru.

Let’s start with my favorite Meganekko Idol, Ami Tokito, debuted in 2005 with the mini album “Sanagi not Bathrobe“. Later, in the next year she released another mini album and her first single “Sentimental Generation“, which was used as the opening for the anime series School Rumble.
